Who We Are

Mocha Joe is a coffee shop discovery platform that helps users find, review, and share great coffee shops, available as an app and website.

Your Account

To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, take responsibility for activity under your account, and notify us of any unauthorized access. You must be at least 13 years old. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

User Roles

Coffee Lover accounts can browse shops, write reviews, save favorites, create trip boards, and engage with the community. Shop Owner accounts add the ability to claim and manage a coffee shop listing. Admin accounts are internal to Mocha Joe with additional management capabilities.

Content You Post

When you post reviews, photos, vibe tags, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it on the platform. You are responsible for your content and agree not to post anything false, defamatory, abusive, illegal, spam, sexually explicit, or infringing on others' rights. We may remove violating content without notice; repeated violations may end your account.

Community Guidelines

Our Community Guidelines set out what belongs on Mocha Joe and what does not. They are part of these Terms and you agree to them when you create an account or post anything.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Anyone can report a review or an account from the app, every report reaches a person, and we remove content that breaks the Guidelines. Accounts that post objectionable content, or that harass or abuse other people, are removed without notice and without a refund of anything.

Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. We don't remove reviews for being negative, only for spam, abuse, or Terms violations. You may edit or delete your own reviews anytime. Do not review shops you own or have a financial interest in, and do not post fake reviews. Violations result in account termination.

Shop Listings and Ownership Claims

Shop listings are user-submitted and may be reviewed or moderated by our team after being published to ensure quality and accuracy. Owners may claim a listing by submitting a claim, which our admin team reviews and may approve or reject. False claims result in termination. In ownership disputes, our admin team's determination is final.

Trip Planner

The Trip Planner lets you create and share coffee shop itineraries. Shared trip boards are publicly accessible to anyone with the link, don't include personal contact details in shared boards. If a shop is removed from the platform, it will no longer appear in trip boards.

Intellectual Property

The Mocha Joe name, logo, and original content are our property and may not be used without written permission. Content you post remains yours, subject to the license described above.

Third-Party Services

Mocha Joe uses Apple Maps for mapping; your use is also subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites linked from shop profiles.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Mocha Joe is provided "as is" without warranties. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that all information (hours, addresses, menus, provided by users and owners) is accurate. Always verify with the shop before visiting.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mocha Joe is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations. You may delete your account anytime through profile settings.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and will revise the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
